Marina Beach

It is the World’s longest natural urban beach,
with a length of 6 kms.
It attracts upto 50,000 visitors per day.

Theosophical Society

A GMCKS recommended school of spiritual studies, having its HQ,
spread over 260 acres, making it a oasis in the heart of Chennai.
It also has a 450-year-old banyan tree resides in the garden
with aerial roots covering 60,000 square meters.

Kalashetra Foundation

An arts and cultural academy, founded in 1936, with a 99 acres campus,
is dedicated to the preservation of traditional values in Indian art and crafts,
especially in the field of Bharatanatyam dance and Gandharvaveda music.
It achieved national and international recognition for its unique style and perfectionism.

Valluvar Kottam

It is a popular monument in Chennai,
dedicated to the classical Tamil poet, philosopher, and saint, Thiruvalluvar.
The construction of Valluvar Kottam is similar to a temple chariot,
like a replica of the temple chariot in Thiruvarur.

Kapaleeswarar Temple

A well known Siva temple,
was built around the 7th century CE
in Dravidian architecture.
The temple has numerous shrines,
with those of Kapaleeswarar and Karpagambal
being the most prominent.

Santhome Basilica

It was built in the 16th century
by Portuguese explorers,
over the tomb of Saint Thomas,
one of the twelve apostles of Jesus.

Thousand Light Mosque

This multi-dome mosque,
built in 1820 is famous for its architectural splendour.
It is said that 1000 oil lamps were lit up to illuminate the hall of the Mosque,
which gave it the name ‘Thousand Lights Mosque’.

Mahabalipuram

The group of monuments at Mahabalipuram is a collection of
7th and 8th century CE religious monuments
in the coastal resort town of Mamallapuram,
Tamil Nadu, India and a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Auroville

A 20 square km town, next to Pondicherry,
with 56 nationalities residing from all over the world,
doesn’t belong to anyone in particular but belongs to humanity as a whole.
The Matrimandir, in the middle of the town, took 37 years to build,
and represents the divine consciousness.

Golden Temple, Vellore

The devotees of all religion and background visits
Sri Lakshmi Narayani or Maha Lakshmi, the goddess of wealth.
This temple is gilded with 1500 kg of pure gold,
double the 750 kg gilding of the dome of the Golden Temple at Amritsar.

Tirupathi

The Temple of Seven Hills, is a landmark Vaishnavite temple
situated in the hill town of Tirumala at Tirupati.
One of the richest temples in the world,
is visited by about 50,000 to 100,000 pilgrims daily.
